Marvel Zombies Giveaway
Afternoon Tribe.
Let’s get the business out of the way real quick, then we’ll get to the fun stuff!
Last week I sent off the PDF’s to print up the loot for the GORILLA MY DREAMS TEAM-UP #2, BIG TIM’S FUNNY BOOKS GOES TO THE MOVIES, and THE BASTARD BRIGADE RPG Kickstarters.
But I managed to mess a bunch of them up and they were unusable. I have Kieran over at Halftone Productions cleaning up my mess, and hopefully we’ll be back on track soon.
There’s a reason, you should use professionals to do the things you have no idea how to do 😁
So, that’s where we’re at with that. I’ll keep you posted.
I finally got around to watching the four-part Marvel Zombies last week. While not the best of Marvel’s TV stuff, I found it entertaining.
Superheroes vs. Zombies is my jam. I’ve been onboard since the very first Marvel Zombies comics, I’ve read all of Peter Clines’ EX-Heroes novels, and the very first Kickstarter I ever backed was an RPG called Rotted Capes.
So, I’ve been super keen to watch this.
As I said, the show wasn’t the best, but it was far from a disappointment. I think what I love about stories like these is the genuine story stakes.
When you pick up your monthly Captain America or Batman book, there’s no real stakes that anything too serious is going to happen. Even if they die, they’ll be back in a few months, good as new.
But when a story like this is done well, anything goes, and your favourites just might git it!
For the most part, I found Marvel Zombies really fun. I won’t spoil anything, but my favourite part was so scary and creepy it made me mutter “Oooooo boy that was cool.” Three words: Zombie Captain America.
That’s all I’ll say on that.
The ending was where I really felt the show was weakest. It just wasn’t satisfying. Again, I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it just felt kind of weak.
But all in all, I enjoyed it. I had a real good time watching, and I might even give it a rewatch (which isn’t something I’ve often done with Marvel stuff for the last few years).
I’ve been wanting to do a Halloween Giveaway this year, and I’ve been trying to figure out a theme. And now I think I have it…

And it makes sense, as we’re on the brink of launching GORILLA MY DREAMS: OLD MAN KG, which is my own post-apocalyptic romp which follows a small group of supers in a world of ravenous man-eating monsters.
